WHEN IS REGISTRATION?

Register online at 5CYFL.com  February 27, 2024 - August 1st, 2024
All registrations must be completed online.  We will not have  in-person registration this year.

WHEN DOES THE SEASON START/END?

The season begins July 22nd and goes until November 23, 2024. Jamboree will be August 24th with the first games being played on August 31, 2024. The All-Star Season begins December 2nd with the game being played December 14, 2024.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

$400 per player February 27-May 22nd. Sibling Discount Available.
$450 May 23rd - June 22nd. Sibling Discount Available.
$475 June 23rd - July 22nd. Sibling Discount Available.

$525 July 23rd - August 1st. Sibling Discount Available.
Fee includes all games, picture package, uniform and equipment rental.

5CYFL recognizes that many people in our community are currently facing a financial hardship. We want to give every child the opportunity to play football or cheer no matter your financial situation. *If you would like to sponsor a child for the 2024 season please let us know.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

All refund requests must be received in writing. Full Refund: Drop/Removal request is received seven calendar days prior to clinic week. Partial Refund: (Registration Fee less insurance and Jersey/Cheer uniform cost) Drop/Removal request is received less than 7 calendar days prior to clinic week.   Email info@5cyfl.com.  After the start of clinic week, refunds will NOT be issued as the league will start to incur many expenses in preparation for the upcoming season.  Expenses being incurred , but not limited to are: uniforms, field rentals, insurance, equipment, etc.  

WHAT AGES CAN PLAY?

 Ages 7-14. Players must turn 7 by Sept 1, 2024 and all players must be in the 8th grade or less to be eligible to play in CCYFL. Players are placed on team by their league age and their skill level. Click here to determin your league age. 
Bantams - league age 7 & 8, 9 year olds must be under 66lbs
Juniors - league age 9 & 10, 11 year olds must be under 76lbs
Intermediates - league age 11 & 12
Seniors - league age 13 & 14 
Cheer - Starting at age 5

HOW MANY KIDS ARE ON A TEAM?

Team size can very dependant on how many kids sign up for each devision. When we get to close to 40 kids in one devision signing up, we will create a 2nd team for that devision if we have the coaching volunteers. 

HOW ARE THE TEAMS MADE? CAN I REQUEST TO PLAY WITH A FRIEND?

Teams are created based on age and weight requirements. If we need to create a second team in a devision we will follow the CCYFL draft rules that can be found in the CCYFL Rule Book. 

WHEN ARE THE GAMES?

Games are played on Saturdays with games at 9am(Typically Bantams), 11am(Typically Juniors), 1pm(Typically Intermediates), 3pm(Typically Intermediates/Seniors) and 5pm(Typically Seniors). Game locations range from Paso Robles all the way to Lompoc. 

 

WHEN/WHERE ARE THE PRACTICES?

Practices are at Soto Sports Complex. Untill the first game of the season Practice is M-F from 5pm to 7pm. After the first week of scheduled games, practice sessions for the Bantam and Junior divisions will be limited to six (6) hours per week, within three (3) days maximum. No more than two (2) hours per day. Practice sessions for the Intermediate and Senior divisions will not exceed eight (8) hours per week, within four (4) days maximum. No more than two (2) hours per day. 

 

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED TO PURCHASE? WHAT IS PROVIDED BY THE LEAGUE?

The league provides each player with a complete uniform(Jersey, pants & socks) and practice pants that are the players to keep at the end of the season. Each player is also provided with a practice jersey, helmet, and pads that must be returned at the end of the season. You will need to purchase cleats and a mouthgaurd for your child.  

 

 

Is there anything Different your league does then other sports. 

Football has a tradition that Friday before a game the teams each have their own family style dinner for players and coaches. This is up to the discretion of each team whether they want to participate in this tradition or not. You maybe asked to bring items, find sponsors or provide a small fee for this. Your team parent will let you know more.
