TEAM PARENTS

All teams are required to have a designated Team Parent.

If that Team Parent is you, we are glad you're here! And THANK YOU!

First step, complete your Coaching Application and Live Scan! Once cleared you are able to be on the field during practice.

Generally speaking, the Team Parent's duties and responsibilities are to do the administrative tasks for the team which will allow the Coach to concentrate on coaching the players and team development. The fewer extra tasks a coach has to take on, the more successful season your team will have!

Below are some typical Team Parent duties. Please delegate some of these duties to other parents (or older siblings) on your team who are willing to help!!

Parent Volunteers

By now you realize your child’s league needs your help. There is no substitute for the satisfaction of contributing to community, especially knowing that your contribution is critical to the league’s operation and your children’s ability to benefit from it, along with their friends and their friends’ parents (who are probably your friends!).

Parents can play many roles in sport: current or former athlete, coach, fan, motivator, role model or critic. A few studies have shown that family members may influence an athlete’s involvement and achievement in sport more than coaches. Parents also are the first and most critical agents at socializing sports.

Reminder to all parents

You may be raising a D-1 athlete.  But odds are you aren’t. Odds are, you are raising a great kid who loves to play football and enjoy the company of their peers. Tackle football is going to be that first step to loving football. Remember they are always watching you.
